Please join us in this fight against breast cancer. The UTMB Cancer Center and cancer-related programs have received more than $3 million from Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to provide cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment to women in our area who otherwise would not have these services available.

More than 2,000 area women have been screened for breast cancer, and more than 1,200 women have received diagnostic services as a result of these funds during the past four years.

Because of generous funding from Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, UTMB programs have detected 50 new patients with early-stage, highly treatable breast cancers. That’s 50 lives saved through early detection and treatment!

In addition to screening and detection, Susan G. Komen for the Cure® funding has also supported advanced medical research for breast cancer at UTMB.
