You Are Needed This Summer!
The months leading up to the Race for the Cure fills the Komen office with much excitement and many phone calls. Starting this July through September, we need passionate volunteers who can dedicate at least one day a week to helping answer our phones and other administrative tasks.

3 volunteers needed to commit to at least one day a week to assist at the Komen office (2425 Fountainview, Suite 210) anytime between Monday through Friday (9am - 5pm). (Volunteers familiar with the Race preferred.)

Interested volunteers, keep the following in mind:

• Every volunteer MUST sign up online individually for an available activity and agree to the volunteer waiver
  (Be sure to include a valid email address; communication will be through email)
• All volunteer openings are available on a first come, first served basis
• Activities will NOT be reserved for any particular group
• Volunteer activities begin as early as 4:30am
• Race Volunteer Orientation is mandatory for all (volunteer group leaders may send one representative)
  Thursday, September 18, 2008 (6:30pm-8:30pm) - United Way (50 Waugh Drive Houston, TX 77007)
• Volunteering areas for large groups:
  o Race Course Captains
  o I AM THE CURE.® Cure Leaders (crowd cheerers)
  o Education Booth Giveaway Distribution
• On Course Water Stations
• For Volunteer Group Leaders - volunteers should indicate their organization when signing up online

Volunteers Interested in Breast Cancer Education Outreach
We are looking for volunteers and breast cancer survivors interested in helping out with community outreach at health fairs, speaking events and other community outreach programs. Click here to view training dates and to sign up for a training!
