The Komen Houston Race for the Cure has been cancelled in light of the obvious heavy rainfall and flooding in our area.
Due to concerns for the safety of participants, volunteers, sponsors, and spectators, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Komen Houston Race for the Cure. This decision was made in collaboration with local officials and weather experts, who have stressed that the storm presents potentially dangerous conditions. We regret the inconvenience caused by this weather event as we work to prioritize participant safety.
If you would help us one final time to spread the word about the Race for the Cure cancellation, we would greatly appreciate it. Komen Houston is devastated to cancel the Race for the Cure, but is encouraging Houstonians to walk on their treadmills, at the gym, or even around the mall in their pink to finish out the promise they've made to team members, survivors and those still fighting the disease.
Thank you all so much for your support during the entire month of October, as well as the last few months. We were able to generate more awareness than ever before, and you've helped us make an impact in our community.
