Grants
The Komen Houston Affiliate is proud to announce the availability of grant funds for 2012-2013. Grants will be made to non-profit organizations in Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty and Montgomery Counties.
The application process begins in August.
Grant Application Requirements: In order to apply for funding, an organization representative must attend a Grants Writing Workshop in August 2011.
The Houston Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure funds nonprofit organizations to provide a comprehensive range of breast health services, from screening and treatment to support services for medically underserved women and men living in the Komen Houston Affiliate’s seven county service area.
The Houston Affiliate, in its twentieth year of operation, is the leading affiliate in granting with over $8 million in research and $25 million in screening, diagnosis and treatment granted since its inception. Currently we have 22 projects totaling $3.27 million. The 18 projects were selected by an independent Grants Review Panel as projects that will have the greatest impact in serving medically underserved individuals in our service area.
