In partnership with governments, nonprofit organizations and aid agencies, Chevron strives to be a good neighbor and continues to invest in initiatives that help strengthen and improve the communities where they work.
A Race Sponsor since 2002, Chevron has donated more than $375,000 to the Komen Houston Affiliate. In addition to corporate support, Chevron employees have long supported the Race. For the past seven years, Chevron has been the presenting sponsor of the Pasta Party, a wonderful pre-Race event that gets participants ready for Race day.
This year, more than 600 guests joined us to ROCK the Race Kick-off at the Annual Pasta Party and Auction on September 27th. More than 40 volunteers from Chevron helped execute the event, which helps raise additional funds for breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment.
Every year the Komen Houston Race for the Cure® serves as a powerful vehicle for spreading the life-saving message of early detection to thousands of people.
