2010 Awards Luncheon

2010 Awards Luncheon celebrates volunteerism and community partnerships…

Over 400 guests joined the Affiliate at the 2010 Awards Luncheon to celebrate outstanding volunteers, donors and grant recipients on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Omni Galleria Hotel. From the moment they arrived, guests were greeted by staff and volunteers, given breast health and race information, and engaged in friendly conversations. Guests for this celebration included Komen supporters, including over 40 CenterPoint Energy representatives, community partners, honorees, grant recipients and volunteers.

The 2010 Awards Luncheon was presented by CenterPoint Energy, and without them the event would not have been as successful. CenterPoint Energy formed a committee, helping to plan the event, as well as volunteering on the day of the event to ensure a smooth program.

After guests browsed through the raffle area, enjoying a nice glass of pink lemonade, they entered the magnificently decorated ballroom where the theme of Hats Off to You really stood out. Guests enjoyed a delicious salad and fabulous pink dessert, a wonderful program emceed by Khambrel Marshall, News Anchor for KPRC Local 2.

Throughout the program individuals who participated in the raffle experienced the thrill of winning great prizes such as custom jewelry, Houston Astros game package, numerous gift certificates to places around town, and a weekend get-a-way trip to Galveston, plus many more.
