Your participation and fundraising for the Race is very important and crucial to the success of the 2014 Komen Houston Race for the Cure®. We could not do it without you and thank you in advance for your commitment.
As you may know, Kroger is a Partner of the local Houston Race for the Cure® and on October 1st we will be kicking-off its Giving Hope a Hand/Sharing Courage Campaign.
To kick off the campaign, they will host the Giving Hope a Hand/Sharing Courage race. During the event, six local breast cancer survivors will each be paired with a Houston Texans cheerleader and Kroger associate for a fun shopping challenge through the aisles to collect participating campaign products based on the shelf tags they receive.
The first survivor to collect all the merchandise and cross the finish line will receive a $1,000 donation in their name to Susan G. Komen® Houston and a pair of tickets to the Houston Texans Pink Ribbon Day Game presented by Kroger(October 9, 2014). All survivor participants will receive a gift bag filled with branded Kroger, Houston Texans and Methodist Hospital items.
So what does this mean to you? Well, it’s simple… FUN-raise for the Race for a chance to be one of the six local breast cancer survivors to participate in the Kroger kick-off event. Here is how this works:
- Raise, raise, raise! Hurry… this contest is for a limited time only!
- On Friday, September 19th, Komen Houston will award the top fundraising survivors the opportunity to participate.
