2015 Pink Honor Roll Spotlight -Margaret Kelly

This year, Margaret ranked #40 on the 2015 Pink Honor Roll for her phenomenal fundraising efforts in raising $3,971 to support Komen Houston’s mission – to save lives and end breast cancer forever.

Margaret supports the fight against breast cancer because she is a 2 time breast cancer survivor (first diagnosed in May 2000, stage3 right breast, and a second time this past late October 2014, early stage left breast).  She is passionate about finding a cure as well as educating women on early detection.

“The Komen Houston Race for the Cure® is important to me because I live in Houston and the fundraising I do serves two purposes: it raises money for a cure and it brings awareness to people about breast cancer and how you can be a survivor.” Margaret says.

Her favorite part of participating is being a part of the Pink Honor Roll.  She enjoys sharing this experience with others and always learns something new about what is being done in breast cancer research.
