This year, Team Cenaida's Rack Pack ranked as Top Fundraising Team #69 for their phenomenal fundraising efforts in raising $2,845 to support Komen Houston’s mission – to save lives and end breast cancer forever.
They support the fight against breast cancer because they have all known people who have battled breast cancer. Through their support of the Komen Houston Race for the Cure®, they want to help ensure that all women have the resources they need to win their battle with this disease.
“This event gives us an opportunity help raise money, and raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer. We always look forward to the race as a chance to get together and have a great time while promoting a great cause.” shares team captain Lorri Vaughn.
Last year, they ran/walked in support of our dear friend Cenaida Casanova. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2014 and in May underwent a bilateral mastectomy. She was very fortunate and they were able to remove all of the cancer without chemotherapy or radiation.
“I would like to recognize Cenaida, our Cancer Surviving Bad Ass, and Lisa Redick Engel, our top team fundraiser.” adds Lorri.
