Local Houston businesses have an opportunity to participate by supporting the fight to end breast cancer.
Throughout 2016 and 2017, Komen has many ways to sponsor events that will impact the local community.
We're funding innovative solutions to address disparities in breast cancer mortality and reduce late stage diagnosis of breast cancer. Komen Houston visited Good Neighbor Healthcare Center to present a generous check to support uninsured women and men in Harris, Montgomery, and Fort Bend counties. Good Neighbor will provide 745 services include screening mammograms, awareness and risk reduction education classes, and clinical breast exams. They have been a funded partner since 2003 to help in the fight against breast cancer. We are confident they will impact the greatest needs in the community.
NCL Bayou Villages is such an amazing group of mothers and daughters. Susan G. Komen® Houston appreciates all the hard work that they have dedicated to our organization. As women, we all know someone who has been touched by breast cancer. What better way for each of us to help these families, than by being involved with an organization like Komen, which is fighting every day to end breast cancer. This is why we chose NCL Bayou Villages as our volunteer group for August 2016. Thank you for all that you do! Read more.
